Remove old NetBeans settings
Sometimes NetBeans doesn't work beacuse of old settings files that are still present in the system. These instructions clear these old files.
Windows
- Close NetBeans/TMCBeans.
- Open File Explorer.
- Press
CTRL + L
to open the address bar. - Type
%APPDATA%
and press Enter. - From the folder that opens, remove the folder named
tmcbeans
. - Start NetBeans/TMCBeans.
macOS
- Close NetBeans/TMCBeans.
- Open Finder.
- Go to the home folder (
Shift + Command + H
in Finder). Usually Finder opens the home folder by default. - Remove the folder named
.tmcbeans
. If you do not see the folder, pressCommand + Shift + period
. - Start NetBeans/TMCBeans.
Linux
- Close NetBeans/TMCBeans.
- Open the file explorer (sometimes called "Files").
- Go to the home folder (
Alt + Home
in the file explorer). Usually the file explorer opens the home folder by default. - Remove the folder named
.tmcbeans
. If you do not see the folder, pressCtrl + H
. - Start NetBeans/TMCBeans.
